Learn to identify some of the issues that cause listing errors or poor online visibility in this checklist. Can you answer “yes” to each question?
✓ Does your medical practice name fall within the guidelines, i.e., character length, dashes, parenthesis, etc.?
✓ Is your practice name the same on all online listing directories and websites?
✓ Does each business at your address have its own listing, i.e., medical spa & plastic surgery practice?
✓ Have you always had the same practice name (no past changes)?
✓ Have all surgeons remained the same in your practice (no changes in associate names or a doctor leaving the practice)?
✓ Have you always been at the same address (no physical moves)?
✓ Is your address consistent among all online directories and websites?
✓ Has your street name always been the same (no changes within the city)?
✓ Does a photo of your location appear on Google maps?
✓ Is your Google map marker displaying correctly in driving routes?
✓ Have you always used the same phone number for your practice(s)?
✓ Has each business at the address always had its own phone number?
✓ If you share facilities or an answering service, have you always maintained your own phone number?
✓ Has your phone number only been used for your practice (no side businesses, school or church groups, etc.)?
Update Your Online Listing
✓ Do you add new profile and cover pictures to your online listings as they are updated?
✓ Are you adding specials, feature products, events, etc. to your listings?
✓ Do you add new product/procedure photos to your listings
✓ Do you have staff and surgeon bios on your listings when appropriate?
