Are you using all the new Google features to increase online visibility for your plastic surgery and medical spa practice? If not, make 2018 the year to increase your online reputation and prominence. Here’s how.
Take advantage of new Google features
Post weekly on your Google My Business page: You can find this page via logging into your Google+ account and clicking My Business or your Google business page. The easiest way to add a post is to search for your business in Google and then click on Create Post. This shows up in your Knowledge Graph in Google searches and Google Map searches. It is a great place to add new products, services, specials and trends. Posts expire weekly, so post and repost.
Add photos to your Google My Business page: This is an awesome place to announce new products, services, monthly discounts, doctors, etc. You can add photos by accessing the “Add Photo” show above. Other people can add photos to your page on Google Maps. If you are creating your own photo, add a short URL or phone number for immediate contact.
Manage Google Reviews: Don’t ignore your reviews. Respond to each review. Thank the reviewer. If you believe the review was left by mistake, tell the reviewer to contact you. Look at each negative review as an opportunity for improvement, and ask the reviewer to contact you to resolve the issue.
Google+ Postings
Add Google+ Posts: We’re not ready to count Google+ out. Yes, we know that Google+ was introduced to compete with Facebook. And, that failed. It is looking like Google My Business posts are a replacement for Google+. However, the end is not here yet. If your Google+ still links to your website, PUMC recommends posting weekly to keep the information fresh. Delete the link if you choose not to post because there’s little information there at this point.
